CHRISTMAS AGAIN AT OPA AND OMA'S

Every other year we exchange gifts on a different day, other than Christmas day. This was one of those years. We got together on the 28th for some more fun!

Aunt Melinda made each of the girls a Raggedy Ann doll.
They all thought that was pretty special!

After the gift exchange, the games usually come out.
This is one of the favourites....shuffle board!

CHRISTMAS DAY AT OPA AND OMA'S

TRIPLETS???
Breanna and Meaghan have had the same Christmas dress two years in a row....without planning it!!! Good taste?? I think so! This year Cassandra got in on the deal too!

Cassandra and Uncle Steve having some fun together.

Zachary was the professional photographer for the day.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

Christmas morning is very exciting for the kids. They wake up and can't wait to get started!!
This year, before opening anything, Breanna made an announcement to say that she wanted to pray first to thank God for sending His Son on Christmas. So she prayed with us before we opened presents. Melt my heart!

We each take turns opening our stockings, starting with the youngest family member.

This was our view off and on throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Bryan did a lot of plowing during the days before Christmas.

CHRISTMAS EVE 2008

Christmas Eve at Grandma's
We usually head over to Grandma's in the afternoon. The house becomes crazy, loud, chaotic, but lots of fun!!! The kids are excited and anxious to see their cousins and exchange their gifts with whomevers name they picked.

Breanna and Victoria could not have been more thrilled that they had received the same outfits from Grandma!!

PUTTING UP OUR CHRISTMAS TREE

Sunday, December 7th, we decorated our Christmas tree. (We all went to go buy it on Friday, the 5th.) I actually didn't get very many pictures of the actual decorating. I was too busy helping them with getting out all the ornaments.

This was also the first year we had coloured lights on our tree. I have always had white lights, ribbon etc. I guess it was a grown up kind of a tree. Well, Breanna requested the coloured lights....so.....mommy went to go get some. Our tree looked like a kid tree this year! They loved it!!!!

Monday morning, Zachary was up first (watching TV) and this is the view I had when I walked into the living room. How cute!!

(This picture was actually taken after Christmas, with unwrapped gifts under the tree which hadn't yet found a place to go!)

TREE DECORATING AT OPA AND OMA'S

Friday, November 28th was a PD day for the kids. We met my up with Melanie, Hillary and Meaghan to decorate Opa and Oma's Christmas tree. The kids had a fun time decorating and did a great job!

COLD DECEMBER DAYS

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2008

After the kids have been outside playing in the snow, they know that they can warm up with some hot chocolate and marshmallows. Something they look forward to!! The following are pictures of them with their rosy cheeks and drinks!!! I love watching them with it!

I had to add these pictures in. They did this during the same cold/wintery Sunday afternoon. This is a craft/activity the kids have and I think it's quite funny to watch them! They really get into it!

GINGERBREAD HOUSE (2008)

Every Christmas since Breanna was 2, I have bought a Gingerbread house for the kid(s) to decorate.
This was the first year Cassandra participated. They all put their personal touches on the house and had a lot of fun both decorating and eating!

(Here you can see Cassandra's finger mark going across the top of the house and across the windows. I think she had more icing than candies!!)

The finished product!!!
