AT THE BEACH

Our friends, Gerry and Sandy graciously welcomed us into their cottage, which is just outside Wasag*a Beach for the August long weekend. We had a lot of fun and much needed relaxation (once the kids were in bed :) ) Their cottage is great, and nice and close to the beach. The first day, when we went to the beach, the waves were crazy! The kids didn't even have to go very deep, and the waves were going over their heads. They strangely enough, thought this was fun! Cassandra wasn't too sure of the crazy waves, and decided that playing in the sand was more fun.

OH NO.....there is a such thing as seaweed monsters! Kinda gross, but the kids gave Bryan the reaction he wanted!

Breanna was totally enthralled with a woman playing guitar at the beach. She laid there listening for quite some time.

We went out for dinner in town one night. Notice the great job on picture? Breanna took it.

The next day, Gerry and Sandy offered to stay back with Cassandra while she took her much needed nap (I think it ended up being around 4 hours in total). Bryan and I took Breanna and Zachary to the beach. There were still waves, which made it fun, but nothing like the day before. This gave some time to use Gerry and Sandy's beach toys (which I'm sure they use a lot).

You don't have to leave the sand fun just for the beach. They have the coolest backyard! It's half sand!

Cassandra finally pet Cocoa. It took all weekend....but it finally happened.
